Honesty Pledge

The Simple Degree pledge. What we will never promise you.

Because we would rather lose a client than mislead one.

  • We will never promise a degree in 1 year when it cannot honestly be done in 1 year.
  • We will never recommend a non-UGC-DEB approved university, no matter how high the commission.
  • We will never take a programme fee before written eligibility is confirmed.
  • We will never use the words “guaranteed,” “100% approval,” or any unsubstantiated superlative.
  • We will never sell “distance B.Tech” — it does not exist in UGC-DEB approved form. Anyone selling it is lying.
  • We will never sell “one-sitting degree” or “fast-track degree” — not UGC-recognised, court-ruled invalid.
  • We will never promise placement after graduation.
  • We will never pressure your family. If you want your father to decide, we wait.
  • We will always tell you when our pathway is NOT the right one for you.
Signed — Hassan Rawther, Founder, Simple Degree.

Why the pledge matters

The Indian distance-education consultancy segment has real scam density — operators selling “one-sitting degrees,” “fast-track B.Tech,” backdated certificates, and worse. Every year, thousands of Kerala and Gulf families lose money and years to these promises.

Our entire business model is to be the anti-scam option by visible choice. This page exists so that anyone who is about to pay us anything knows — in writing, published publicly, signed by the founder — exactly what we will never do.

If someone asks us to break these

We refuse. Politely, clearly, and we’ll tell them where they could legitimately go if they insist. We’d rather turn business away than ship a broken promise.

Updated: April 2026

We review this pledge every 12 months. If regulation changes — for example, if UGC ever approves distance B.Tech (it won’t) — we’ll update the language and mark the change date clearly.
