Is this pathway for you?
This is for you if:
- You enrolled in a UG programme at a UGC-recognised Indian university
- You did not complete the programme
- It has been at least 1 year since you last attended
- You have at least one mark-sheet or admission record from the old programme
Typical profile: 22–38 years old, 1–7 year gap, originally BCom or BBA or BA at MG University, Calicut University, Kannur University, Kerala University, or any Indian state university.
We’ve seen it all. 5-year gaps. 9-year gaps. Fathers who moved countries. Mothers who raised a family in between. Lost Transfer Certificates. Colleges that closed down. Three attempts at three different universities. None of those are deal-breakers — they’re the norm in this category. If you’re sitting on any of this, you’re not the outlier. You’re the average case.
Quick note on UGC-DEB — the approval that matters
UGC-DEB stands for the University Grants Commission’s Distance Education Bureau — the government body that decides which Indian online and distance degrees are officially recognised. A UGC-DEB approved online degree is legally equivalent to a regular on-campus degree for jobs, government exams, and higher studies. We only recommend universities whose specific programme and session carries current UGC-DEB approval. You’ll see the approval reference inside your written pathway report.
What Simple Degree does for you
- Checks whether your old semesters can be credit-transferred into a UGC-DEB approved online university
- If credit transfer isn’t possible, finds the shortest honest alternative
- Guides document recovery from your old college (TC, Migration Certificate, marksheets)
- Handles admission paperwork and fee remittance (from you directly to the new university)
- Follows through with monthly WhatsApp check-ins until your degree certificate is issued
- For Gulf clients: end-to-end MEA + embassy + MOFA attestation
What Simple Degree does NOT do
- Fabricate, forge, or backdate academic records — ever
- Promise a 1-year degree, a one-sitting degree, or any timeline shorter than UGC-DEB rules permit
- Recommend non-UGC-DEB institutions, even if their commission is higher
- Guarantee government-job or PSC-exam eligibility — we verify the specific notification before recommending
Realistic timeline
18–30 months from re-enrolment to degree certificate, depending on:
- How many semesters from your old enrolment transfer (range: 0–4 semesters)
- The academic session calendar of the new university
- The speed of document recovery from your old college
We never quote under 18 months. We never quote over 36 months unless your specific case genuinely requires it. The exact number for your case is in your free written eligibility report.
How much it costs
Simple Degree service fee: ₹5,000 total (or ₹3,000 for the first 50 founding-batch clients, in exchange for a video testimonial post-graduation). Paid in two parts: ₹2,000 at engagement letter signing, ₹3,000 at admission kickoff.
University programme fee: separate, paid directly from you to the university. Typically ₹25,000–₹75,000 per year at Yenepoya, Amity, Jain, or Amrita online UG programmes. You will see the university’s own invoice in your name — Simple Degree never holds university money.
