simple
For partial-degree holders

You earned those credits. Don’t let a university throw them away.

If you completed 2–3 years of a UGC-recognised UG and paused, credit transfer lets you continue — not restart. We check which UGC-DEB approved universities will accept the most of your earned credits. Written pathway report in 48 hours, free.

Is this pathway for you?

  • You completed at least 2 semesters (ideally 3–4) of a UGC-recognised UG programme
  • Your gap since the last exam is under 3 years (longer gaps usually route to Finish My Degree)
  • You have most or all of your mark-sheets and can retrieve your Transfer Certificate (TC — the document your old college issues when you formally leave)

Quick note on UGC-DEB — the approval that matters

UGC-DEB stands for the University Grants Commission’s Distance Education Bureau — the government body that decides which Indian online and distance degrees are officially recognised. A UGC-DEB approved online degree is legally equivalent to a regular on-campus degree. Credit transfer is legally permitted between UGC-recognised institutions under specific conditions; we check the exact ones for your case before recommending a university.

What Simple Degree does for you

  • Maps your completed credits against the transfer rules of each partner UGC-DEB approved university
  • Identifies the one or two universities that will accept the most credits with the least friction
  • Handles admission as a mid-year entrant (typically Year 2 or Year 3 start)
  • Coordinates TC / Migration Certificate issuance from your old college
  • Follows through to the degree certificate with monthly WhatsApp check-ins

What Simple Degree does NOT do

  • Guarantee a specific number of transferred credits — credit transfer is governed by the receiving university’s rules, not by us
  • Force transfer across incompatible programme types (BA-to-BSc is rarely accepted)
  • Accept transfer requests from non-UGC-recognised institutions

Realistic timeline

12–24 months from re-enrolment to degree certificate, depending on how many credits transfer. More credits transferred = shorter programme remaining. Worst case (no transfer accepted, must restart Year 1) we reroute you to Finish My Degree and tell you honestly.

How much it costs

Same as other pathways: ₹5,000 flat service fee (two-stage payment), ₹3,000 for founding-batch. University programme fee paid directly by you to the university (typically ₹25k–₹75k per year for remaining programme).
